Greetings from Molyar Resource Foundation.
Molyar Resource Foundation is a not-for-profit organization established with the objective of improving the lives of vulnerable communities and raising awareness on critical social and environmental issues to help build a more just and sustainable society.
It is our proud privilege to inform you that the Foundation is organizing an International Seminar on “Sustainable Development in the Himalayas: A People-Centric Approach” on 21 December 2025 at the Constitution Club of India, New Delhi.

The Himalayas—an ecological lifeline for nearly two billion people—are facing unprecedented stress driven by climate change, unsustainable development, and escalating human pressures. Rapid glacier retreat, shrinking biodiversity, disrupted water systems, and an alarming rise in natural disasters such as avalanches, landslides, and flash floods are destabilizing this fragile mountain region.
Unplanned urbanization, deforestation, and widespread plastic pollution further threaten the delicate balance of its ecosystems and the livelihoods of the communities that depend on them. This seminar seeks to create a crucial platform to spotlight the growing impacts of climate change on Himalayan ecosystems and to discuss innovative, people-centric adaptation strategies for climate resilience.
We are honoured to have the University of Southampton, United Kingdom, as our Knowledge partner for the event.
